Wilderness Education

Where grit meets growth

Set against the stunning backdrop of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains, our Wilderness Education (Wild Ed) program brings place-based learning to life. Running from Pre-K to Year 12, Wild Ed immerses students in outdoor experiences that build resilience, leadership, environmental stewardship and a lasting connection to nature.

In 2024, the program received the Outdoor Education Australia Exemplary Outdoor Education Program Award—recognising its innovation, impact, and commitment to social and environmental responsibility.

Little Wildlings

For Pre-K to Year 2, Little Wildlings is all about having fun in nature! Kids explore, play, and learn about the environment in a safe and welcoming outdoor space. It’s a great way to spark curiosity and a love for the outdoors from a young age.

Junior Wildlings

In Years 3 to 6, Junior Wildlings helps students get comfortable and confident in the bush. Through hands-on activities and exploring nature, they build skills, teamwork, and a real appreciation for the environment around them.

Camps

Our yearly camps for Years 7 to 10 take students out of their comfort zones and into exciting outdoor adventures. These trips build resilience, leadership, and friendships, all while connecting deeply with nature.

Wild Ed

For Years 9 and 10, Wild Ed is an elective where students learn survival skills and challenge themselves in the great outdoors. It’s about pushing limits, gaining independence, and learning to love the adventure and freedom nature offers.

Outdoor Leadership

In Years 11 and 12, Outdoor Leadership is a unique HSC VET course that develops top outdoor skills and leadership. It’s perfect for students who love the outdoors and want to take their skills—and confidence—to the next level.
